Hider Strategies Guide
Surviving as a Hider requires more than good paint. Pose selection, spot choice, and absolute stillness separate players who survive from those caught in the first minute.
Pose Selection
Choose poses that match objects near your spot: crouch behind furniture, flatten against walls, curl into corners. Set your pose before prep time ends and commit — repositioning mid-round only works if your current spot is already compromised.
Spot Selection
Pick spots with natural cover — corners, behind props, against textured surfaces. Avoid open floor centers. Prefer areas where lighting is uneven, making edge detection harder for Seekers.
Movement Rules
After prep ends, stay completely still. Micro-movements are the number one tell experienced Seekers watch for. If you must move, only do so when the Seeker has clearly passed your zone and is facing away.
Per-Map Tactics
House: furniture-edge blending. Grocery Store: shelf product colors. Bank: matte roughness on marble. Arcade: saturation boost for neon areas. See the Maps page for full per-map hiding spot lists.
