Paint and Seek Beginner's Guide
Paint and Seek is a multiplayer hide-and-seek game where Hiders paint themselves to match the environment and Seekers hunt them before time runs out. This guide walks you through your first session.
Game Overview
Each round randomly assigns players as Hiders or Seekers. Hiders get a prep phase to paint and position themselves. Seekers are released after a countdown to find and tag every Hider. Tagged Hiders join the Seeker team. The round ends when all Hiders are caught or the timer expires.
Lobby Orientation
In the lobby, use the left panel to access Codes, Shop, and Daily Rewards. Press B to view the Controls board. Visit the Shop to preview cosmetics before your first match. Redeem codes before queuing — Coins apply instantly.
Hider Basics
As a Hider, open the paint menu during prep time. Use the eyedropper on the surface you will hide against. Adjust color sliders until you blend in. Pick a pose that matches nearby objects — crouch behind furniture, flatten against walls. Once prep ends, do not move. Any movement is the biggest tell for Seekers.
Seeker Basics
As a Seeker, wait for the release countdown, then sweep the map systematically. Look for color inconsistencies, wrong shadow direction, and unnatural outlines. Tag Hiders by clicking on them. Each tagged Hider joins your team, so the hunt accelerates as the round progresses.
